A Scottish woman bit her man’s tongue in quarrels; then the seagull ate it

He took a lick.

A Scottish woman bit a part of a man’s tongue in a wild street fight, and a seagull quickly rushed in and swallowed it, authorities said in a report.

Bethaney Ryan, 27, collided with stranger James McKenzie, which sparked an argument in Edinburgh on August 1, 2019, according to a prosecutor quoted by the Edinburgh Evening News.

After McKenzie walked over to Ryan with “a clenched fist,” he kissed him inexplicably and then broke a 3-by-2-inch piece of his tongue, prosecutor Susan Dickson told the Sheriff’s Court on Thursday. ‘Edinburgh.

“She kissed him on the lips and during the course of that she bit his tongue, which caused a piece of her tongue to be removed,” Dickson told the court.

After he spat a bloody piece of the organ, a bird ripped it off the ground and ate it, making re-surgery surgery impossible, he said.

“Mr. McKenzie came out and spat out a part of his tongue, at which point the seagull picked up the piece of muscle that separated with the piece of tongue,” Dickson said.

McKenzie was treated for “tongue laceration” after he began “bleeding,” the prosecutor said.

“He didn’t need surgery because the piece of tongue was no longer available and he couldn’t reconnect,” the prosecutor said.

Ryan, who was arrested, pleaded guilty to the assault Thursday, according to the media. It was not immediately known what motivated the argument between her and McKenzie.
