A spa shooter suspect in Atlanta has officially pulled out of the church

Robert Aaron Long, an accused Atlanta spa shooter, has been officially expelled from his Georgia church, calling the massacre “the result of a sinful heart” and antithetical to everything we believe and teach as in the church ”.

Crabapple First Baptist Church, which condemned the executions last week, said in a statement that Long is now permanently off the list of members, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

The church, in the suburb of Milton, Atlanta, was where Long had been a lifelong member. But after the shootings, he said, “We can no longer claim that he is truly a regenerating believer in Jesus Christ.”

Long, 21, is charged with eight counts of murder and one count of aggravated assault by the bloody shooting that left eight dead and one injured.
