A thinking mother quickly finds her little child lost in a Kmart thanks to the TikTok hack

There are few things as frightening to parents as losing your child in a crowded place, such as a mall, zoo, or stadium. The moment you realize your child is missing, it’s impossible to ignore the terrifying idea that they might have been kidnapped.

Recently, a New Zealand woman lost her son to a Kmart, but was able to locate him due to a parenting attack that could save the life he saw at the TikTok a few months ago.

The woman was shopping at the retailer when she realized her two-year-old son Nathan was missing. He immediately told a friend to warn the staff to make sure he didn’t walk out the front door of the store.

“Another friend searched the area he last saw,” the mother wrote in a Facebook post.

His mother began to look for him, rummaging through the shelves of clothes and running down the aisles.

It was the “ten most terrifying minutes of my life” he wrote later.

But then he remembered a parenting hack he saw on blogger Jess Martini’s TikTok. “If your child disappears, look up and start shouting their description,” the mother recalled.

“I’m missing a little kid, he’s wearing a yellow shirt and he’s brown-haired. He’s two years old and his name is Nathan!” he called the rest of the store as he remembered not to “break” between tears.

“You need people to understand you clearly and clearly,” he said.

The mother’s calls immediately replaced everyone who heard them to start looking for the child. In November, parenting blogger Jess Martini posted a video sharing the best way for parents to locate a missing child. It’s a great tip, because the answer to your knee is usually just calling your name or running quietly looking.

“For all the parents out there, if your child disappears, don’t look quietly or just call their name,” Martini says in the video. “Shout out loud and clear. Say they’re missing, give a description and repeat, repeat, repeat!”

“Everyone will be on alert and, if someone tries to take off with their child, it will decrease the chances of them leaving,” he added.

Tips are a great reminder to make a mental note of what your child is wearing when you go out, so if they go away, you can easily provide yourself with a description. It also shows that when a parent needs help, most people are more than willing to lend a hand.
