A woman dies after the car blows up and crashes into Pembroke Park Mall

PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. – A destructive accident overnight in Pembroke Park has left one person dead.

It passed along Hallandale Beach Boulevard, between 40th and 48th avenues.

Witnesses told Local 10 News that a car was traveling east on Hallandale Beach Boulevard when it lost control and went into the air, crashing into a shopping plaza.

Authorities said the driver of the car that lost control is a woman and was kicked out of her vehicle. The first attendees declared her dead at the scene.

At least six parked vehicles were damaged in the individual traffic accident. One of these vehicles was pushed through the doors of Thirsty’s bar.

Thirsty’s employees said outside the camera they were locked and cleaned when the crash occurred.

Broward’s sheriff’s office units blocked part of the road for much of Sunday morning.

The cause of the accident is being investigated.
