The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has been one of Switzerland’s biggest topics in almost four years since its release, giving us hours of fun in its main campaign and DLC extensions. But what if you can get more content to enjoy?
Well, they have taken matters into their own hands by creating their own DLC for a motor game called Vaikuderu. Entitled ‘Throwback Expansion’, this unofficial mod is inspired by none other than the Super Mario 64, which runs on the iconic pop-omb battlefield platform Breath of the Wild Engine.
The unfamiliar voice speaks to the link and asks the monsters to collect valuable star pieces and misuse its power before they do. After Link picks up the star piece, he finds himself on a floating island.
As you can see in the trailer above (remember, this is all unofficial), the link includes the task of collecting stars and red coins, just like you would in our favorite moustachio plumber’s Nintendo 64 Classic. Waiter plans to release the mod on December 25 for free.
Of course, Nintendo is currently struggling with the Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 – we hope to hear about this soon – so there’s a lot more hysterical benefit to look forward to. Until then, let us know how you feel about this work created by fans in the comments.
