Luis Abinader assured this Sunday that with the same criteria that they chose an independent justice, they will choose the members of the Chamber of Accounts.
At a meeting of the Political Commission of the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM), the first president stated that with the transparency that was chosen to the judges of the high courts, this is how the members of the Chamber of Accounts will be selected.
Like José Ignacio Pallissa, president of the PRM, Abinader stated that all party members will have a chance within his management.
In his speech, the head of state also addressed some of the goals met by the first presidential administration of the PRM.
Abinader also indicated that in May, the “Surpass” program will double the amount delivered in March with the “Eat First” program.
He also took the opportunity to recognize the former President of the Republic and member of the PRM, Hipólito Mejía.
In addition to Abinader and the president of the PRM, the meeting was attended by the Vice President of the Republic, Raquel Peña.
Also, the vice president of the party, Roberto Fulcar and the general secretary, Carolina Mejía, among other officials.
Election of Chamber of Accounts
Last week the Senate of the Republic extended the deadline for the special commission that studies the three of the Chamber of Accounts to issue a report with the names that could form the new plenary of the supervisory body.
