The Executive Branch withdrew 350 National Police (PN) officers last night, at the request of the Higher Police Council, for age and seniority in service.
The recesses include 62 colonels, the same number of lieutenant colonels, 51 with the rank of senior, 79 captains, 72 with the rank of first lieutenant and 18 second lieutenant.
Among the retired colonels are Onil Abreu Tabar, Francisco Aquino Eugenio, Guillermo Báez Ubiera, Pedro José Castro Castell, Marcelo Castro Ulloa and Pablo Be.
Also retired were Colonels Carlos Antonio Cruz Guzmán, Juan Feliç Novas, Manuel Fernández Taveras, Félix Franklin Figueroa, Leonardo Garcia Álvarez, Félix Gómez Geraldino, and Ramón González.
Among others, Colonels Ramón Hernández, José Arismendy Liberis, José Ramón Martínez Polanco, Cándido Mateu Uribe, Teodoro Miguel Matos Díaz, Francisco Morrobel Villamán, Fernando Ogando de Oli, Víctor were retired due to their seniority in service and age. Manuel Pimentel Mojica and Sixto Ramirez de la Cruz.
Also welcome were Viola Viola, Elido Alfredo Rodríguez García, Julio Justino Rodríguez, Miguel Sánchez Cornielle, Nelson Yhovanny Sánchez, Manuel Santamaría Fondeur, Ricardo Scharbay Vásquez, Victoriano Tejada Báez, Domingo Vargas Almánzar, Welcome Vásquez and Welcome Victoriano Fabián.
Also Juan Antonio Bell Almonte, Aquilino Jiménez Go’mez, Amelio de Jesus Pichardo, Roquerme From Soria Garci’a, Rosalio Abbot Incarnation, Diogenes Alcantara Oviedo, Ramon Chrysostom, Saturnine of Leon de la Cruz and Ernesto Feliz Alcántara, among others were retired.
While among the retired lieutenant colonels are Juan Francisco Acevedo, Dionicio Agüero, Carlos Ercilio Aquino, Ángel Salvador Mateu and Lluc Carela.

The setbacks are made when large sections of the population demand a deep reform and purge of the National Police, following the shooting death of a Christian couple, whom the agents mistaken for criminals.
