A motorcyclist lost his life in a road accident on the Carretera de Oro and the driver of a vehicle died in another incident in Morazán.
A streak of traffic accidents has been recorded during the Christmas celebration in El Salvador, according to reports from relief forces.
At least two people were killed and several were injured in incidents in different parts of the country in recent hours.
A spectacular collision between a pick-up and a sedan-type vehicle occurred this Friday morning on the Ruta Militar road, in front of the National Institute of El Divisadero, in Morazán, the Fire Brigade detailed.

In this case, the driver of one of the vehicles died and the other was injured. Authorities suspect the incident was the product of inadequate speeding.

The deadly victim was identified as 27-year-old Miguel Ángel Flores Reyes. Firefighters used their hydraulic equipment to retrieve the body of the young man who was trapped between the twisted irons of the car. The injured person was taken to National Hospital.
Meanwhile, an unidentified motorcyclist died after being hit by a motorist in the early hours of the morning on mile 14 and a half of the Golden Highway, Rescue Orders reported.

The National Civil Police (PNC) regulated traffic in the area, while processing the incident that was recorded in the section that goes from Soyapango to San Salvador, the Vice Ministry of Transport has reported through its account on Twitter.
Accidents with injuries
Salvadoran Red Cross said it attended 24-year-old motorcyclist Luis Alcides Camps, who was injured in an accident on Chiltiupán Street and 17 North Avenue, in Santa Tecla, La Libertad. The young man was taken to San Rafael National Hospital.

Another incident was recorded this Friday morning at kilometer 45 of the North Trunk Road, near the Colima Bridge, where the driver of a truck collided with a private vehicle.
Red Cross sources confirmed that five people were injured, including two minors and one senior. The victims were taken to the Aguilares clinic and added that they would be referred to different hospitals.

In the same incident, Salvadoran Green Cross sources indicated that they attended 27-year-old César I., who was rescued from the twisted irons of his vehicle. The young man was taken to the General Social Security in San Salvador.
“After we rescued him we proceeded to immobilize him as he had an exposed fracture in his right knee and other possible fractures in different parts of his body,” he stated.

The Green Cross also reported an accident near the Emmanuel community on Monsignor Romero Boulevard. At the scene he attended to a motorist who was injured. According to the aid corps, the driver refused to be taken to a care center.
