Activists in favor of the three causes celebrate a month of camping in front of the National Palace this Sunday.
In their fight for the election, the protesters have remained since March 11 in the vicinity of the Government Office Professor Juan Bosch, in front of the National Palace, as part of their struggle to approve the inclusion of the three causes in the Dominican Penal Code.
“We do not accept a Penal Code that does not include decriminalization in its three causes,” a protester said.
“The three causes are not an imposition it is an option that can decide the woman, whether she wants to or not, so the three causes are a value of democracy, the opposite is authoritarianism. Congress must understand that it must govern for democracy, “said the Deputy Minister of Territorial Planning
Eulogia Família, from the Active Women’s Trade Union Unit (UNISIMAS), activist Gabriela Rodríguez, and Ileana Santana, from the Christian Alliance, were responsible for the introductory words of the event.
“The state has failed Dominican girls and women,” Family said.
An atmosphere of joy and music is what is observed from the early hours of the morning on the site.
