Actor Dustin Diamond begins chemotherapy for cancer

The actor from “Saved by the Bell” Dustin Diamond begin chemotherapy treatment after being diagnosed with cancer, his representative reported.

Diamond, known for his role as Screech in the original 90’s comedy series, was hospitalized earlier this month in Florida. Last week, his team revealed he has cancer.

“Dustin has completed his first round of chemo and is scheduling the second. Physiotherapy will also begin soon”, Said the actor’s spokesman, Roger Paul, In a statement.

“Dustin is eager to spend more time with his girlfriend, play his bass, play video games and make videos for his fans on social media.”, He added.

“Saved by the Bell” aired from 1989 to 1993 and gave way to the derivative series “Saved by the Bell: The College Years” and “Saved by the Bell: The New Class,” in which Diamond appeared. Diamond has faced several lawsuits for overdue taxes and foreclosure proceedings for non-payment.
