Mexico City.– Actor Patricio Castell died this Thursday, at the age of 81.
The performer was hospitalized as a result of a lung condition that had plagued him for some time. He was allegedly suffering from lung cancer, but neither he nor his family confirmed it.
“The National Association of Actors (CAMINA) deeply regrets the death of our C. Patricio Castillo, a member of our union. Our condolences to his family and friends. Rest in peace,” CAMINA wrote on Twitter.
This week, his wife, Haunani Ruiz, ruled out Castell having Covid-19.
“Thank you for your concern, I’m hospitalized but thank God, I’m not covid, I’m stable, happy and grateful for life. And also impressed with the amount of things that can be invented. I repeat, I’m stable and very happy. Thank you to all, ”the actor wrote on his Twitter account.
Of Chilean origin, but nationalized Mexican, Patricio Castle made its debut in cinema with the tape the quelite, of 1970. It participated in the First Night, Loves Dogs and More Sap the Devil by Old man.
For more than four decades she worked in television, in productions such as Bibiana, The Sin of Oyuki, The Golden Cage, Three Women, Iron Soul, The Cat and My Husband Has Family.
In theater, it acted in more than 100 works, between which they emphasize 12 Men in Pugna, Night club and the next Flood.
