Amid conspiracy theories that he is a CGI character, actor “Ted Lasso” Brett Goldstein has broken his silence to confirm that he is a human man who does “normal human basic things, such as acting and the buffer “.
Fans of the series have long speculated that Roy Kent is, in fact, a CGI character, like the one you’ll find on EA’s “FIFA”. From his way of walking to his generic features, there were a number of things that made Apple TV + viewers suspect that he wasn’t a real person or that he was somehow digitally edited in the series.
In accordance with Gizmodo, actor Brett Goldstein broke his silence and confirmed that his is a “normal human man.” His message was sent as a memoji, something completely normal that real humans do.
“I just want to clarify something once and for all,” the Goldstein memoji said. “I’m a completely real, normal human being who just lived in a VFX house and does normal human basic things like representation, buffer, and data transfer.”
To be fair, there has been a lot of intense CGI work on “Ted Lasso”. If the program can create a CGI stage, theoretically there is nothing stopping them from creating a CGI character.
Other VFX shows have been seen throughout the show. A notable example is the “spotless” iPhone that a character used in a recent episode.
