A woman who fled Afghanistan after the Taliban took control alleged that some of the militants are necrophiliacs as she accused them of having sex with corpses.
The woman, who had worked for police in Afghanistan before fleeing to India, told News 18 that brutal militants went door-to-door in search of sex slaves.
He reportedly picked up women or shot them.
“They are also raping corpses. They don’t care if the person is dead or alive … Can you imagine that? Said the woman, identified only as Muskan, according to the Northeastern Chronicle of India.
“When we went there, we received many warnings. If you go to work, you are threatened and your family is threatened. After a warning, they would stop giving any warning, “Muskan added.
The woman’s claims come just days after reports surfaced that the Taliban had beaten young Afghans for wearing Western clothing and killed a woman after she went out in public without wearing a burqa.
Disturbing reports have emerged despite Taliban leaders vowing to respect “women’s rights” and despite their horrific trajectory in allowing women and girls basic freedoms.
Former Afghan judge Najla Ayoubi told Sky News she has been talking to women in Afghanistan who described “misbehavior and violence against women.”
Ayoubi said a woman was “burned because she was accused of cooking poorly for Taliban fighters” in northern Afghanistan.
