For 31 days, the broadcast of Ludwig Ahgren has been running all day every day. He hasn’t been awake all along, but he and his moderators have made sure he has become one of Twitch’s most consistent and comforting presences, even though he’s probably physically affecting everyone involved. From the beginning, a timer has been counting down to zero, but every time someone makes a subscription, ten seconds are added to the clock. Now Ahgren has more subscriptions than anyone in Twitch history.

He has officially broken the record live today. Previously, Twitch returned Mixer returned to Twitch megastar Tyler “Ninja” Blevins held the record with 269,154 subscriptions, a feat that reached its peak in 2018. As of this post, Ahgren had more than 271,000 subscriptions.

“Here it is! You are here,” Ahgren said as his subscription counter surpassed the Blevins record. “This is Twitch’s new record for most all-time subscribers. Shit, it was crazy. “

He proceeded to call a “friend,” who turned out to be Blevins. Except that it wasn’t Blevins at all, it was a sounding board of voice clips, which Ahgren sounded like Blevins was reacting to being comical with him. It was a good part.

On Twitter, the real Blevins congratulated Ahgren.

“Records are destined to be broken,” Blevins wrote. “It simply came to our notice then [I] it wasn’t a little sad, but congratulations [Ludwig] while keeping the new subscription to Twitch “.

Today is the last day of Ahgren’s subscription marathon. He decided to set a deadline because otherwise he could have continued indefinitely. Initially, I didn’t expect it to last very close to this time, nor did I plan to run Peak Ninja in the marathon that is life. That said, Ahgren had many factors in his favor. He started the subatona as an already rich Twitch star, successfully generating additional success, a New York News article, and all sorts of additional coverage and speech.

Today, in particular, has been a special day; in addition to the standard rules that underpin those of Ahgren subathon – which has become such a fixed element that everyone on Twitch knows – he announced the last day as a solidarity subscription unit with the stated goal of breaking the Blevins record. Until 9 p.m. PST, he will donate $ 5 per subscription to The Humane Society and St Jude’s. This result, then, is far from unexpected.

Still, it’s a record newspaper, especially considering that no one but Blevins has even come close (the strthird place, RanbooLive, topped 114,387 in March). That of a man who he almost lost the fight against a refrigerator just a couple of weeks ago. Really, a tale back to the ages.
