Those in New Zealand and Australia who were able to place an order for delivery on launch day before AirPods Max sales were received and photos were taken on Twitter and other social media.

There are no Apple stores in New Zealand, but it appears that “Apple stores” in Australia have a limited amount of AirPods Max stock available to pick up at the store. According to a spot check, most locations in Australia appear to have the least popular silver and space gray models available in the store.
It is possible that the stores also have the other colors and that they have run out, but, as with orders placed for shipping, the colors pink, blue and green appear to be very limited if they are available.
The availability of the store in Australia means that Apple will also have stock available in stores in the United States on December 15 for those who have not been able to make a reservation that arrives within a reasonable time. Orders placed today for all delAirPods Max colors will not be shipped for 12 to 14 weeks, which means that queAirPods Max will be re-ordered until March.
