Alabama has 3,651 COVID cases, 66 deaths in total

Alabama has added more than 3,500 COVID cases to the total.

The latest figures from the Alabama Department of Public Health show that the state has had 757,893 cases of COVID since March 2020 with 3,651 added since the last day.

Alabama added 66 deaths in total, bringing the figure to 12,784. Not all deaths occurred on the last day and reports of deaths can take up to two weeks to be reported to ADPH.

Alabama currently has 2,401 people hospitalized with COVID: 2,355 adults and 46 pediatric patients. Of the adult patients, 84% are not vaccinated, 4% are partially vaccinated and 12% are fully vaccinated. The state has 1,592 ICU patients for 1,549 staffed ICU beds. 48% of patients with ICU have COVID.

There are 25 pregnant COVID-19 patients hospitalized with 2 in the ICU. Of the 46 pediatric patients hospitalized with the virus, 21 are in the ICU and 7 are ventilated.
