The 2020 season is on the books. A season no one was sure would pass reached the finish line. From postponed to non-postponed seasons, from staggered starts to canceled games, the number of games each team played varied greatly. College football has not had a year like this since World War II.
With Alabama’s victory over Ohio State in the national championship game, it’s time for the final edition of The Athletic 127. In a normal year, bowling games don’t fully represent a season. This year is more true than ever considering the number of games played and the players who chose not to participate. This was the most difficult year to classify and compare teams. With some playing only three or four games and others playing more than 10, it’s really impossible to properly evaluate some teams, but I did my best. Some adjustments were made between teams that did not play in the postseason as well.
