Alejandro Sanz criticizes the Cuban Revolution: “Let Cuba continue”

The popular Spanish singer Alejandro Sanz he charged harshly against the Cuban government which he questioned calling a system “revolution” that is quite the opposite of what this concept implies. The composer also left clear advice to the regime: apologize and let Cuba move forward.

“How can they say ‘revolution’ to something so affluent, uncompromising, boring, unjust, ankylosed, decadent, caspous, obsolete, immobile, useless, painful, bland, abusive, desperate, servile, and clumsy?”, Questioned the author of “Corazón partío” this Friday on Twitter.

“Let them say ‘I’m sorry’ and let Cuba continue,” concluded the popular performer, who is the Cuban artist’s romantic partner. Rachel Valdés.

The list of adjectives used to define the regime has not left indifferent hundreds of Cuban Internet users, who have appreciated the gesture and have supported the opinion of the artist.

“Thank you for joining our cause! We admire you for that Alejandro Sanz”, Wrote the duo People from the area on their social networks.

The Cuban Yububer Dina Star, arrested after the protests against the July 11 government, he commented that it is “nice that such important people in the world continue to give visibility to what is happening here.”

Agustí Antonetti, an Argentine human rights activist, also thanked the artist for his support, whom he praised for being in the “struggle for freedom in the region, especially in Cuba.” “We hope to see you singing on the island the day the dictatorship falls and freedom triumphs,” he concluded.

Alejandro Sanz was one of the many artists who joined the #SOSCuba claim to show their solidarity with the Cuban people after the July 11 protests.

However, his criticism of the Cuban government does not date from now, as in 2019 the prominent Spanish singer also exploded when the Cuban regime hindered shipping independently of humanitarian aid to Cuba as a result of the tornado that in January of that year left thousands of victims in Havana.
