Despite being months away from launch, we’ve already seen several rumors about the iPhone 2021. Now, as we approach the launch, new rumors point to some design changes, new colors, and new features to look forward to.
According to leaker Max Weinbach (via the EverythingApplePro YouTube channel), the iPhone 13 will come with a matte black option for the Pro and Pro Max models, a new stainless steel coating that reduces stains and fingerprints. a new rear camera design and improved noise cancellation with bigforming for phone calls.
Last month, Weinbach reported that Apple plans to include an ever-present screen for this year’s new iPhone this year as part of its design. It is now based on this rumor, saying that in addition to an ever-active 120Hz screen, Apple is likely to include a matte black color option for the iPhone 13 i Pro and iPhone 13 Max Pro Max.
Weinbach says the color is a “redesigned graphite,” but that it is “border black.” According to Weinbach, Apple is also experimenting with an orange, almost bronze, color for the new iPhones, but says it’s unlikely to launch.
The iPhone 12 line reclaimed the beloved flat-cut design, as well as the stainless steel edges for the 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max. Since the models were launched, users have complained about the ability of the edges to attract stains and fingerprints, especially for lighter color options like gold. Apple is trying to fix the problem with the iPhone 13 by adopting a new anti-stain coating and fingerprints, according to Weinbach.
Moving to the back, Weinbach says the new camera module won’t be completely flat, but that each lens will protrude less from the main body. In addition, the immediate preparation of the camera module will be less, completely reducing the thickness of the camera system.
Along with a set of previously rumored features, the ihone iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max camera system will include a new process for taking portrait photos. Weinbach reports that the vertical mode on the new iPhones Pro will depend significantly on LiDAR. LiDAR, currently on the iPhone 12 Pro, Pro Max and iPad Pro, is used to enhance low-light image photography. However, Weinbach says Apple will go one step further with portrait mode this year.
The portrait mode of the new iPhones will be reviewed a lot. It will now largely depend on a new process that combines both lens data and LiDAR. LiDAR will be used specifically for better edge detection. Now, supposedly, the new process detects things like smaller gaps in street signs. This happens with the portrait video as a review of the portrait mode in which Apple is working for the 2021 iPhones.
Weinbach says that within iOS itself, Apple will also include a new “image stabilization correction” mode for iOS that will automatically detect and keep a subject focused during a video. Given that it is based on software, it is not known if the special hardware of the iPhones 2021 enables this mode or if it could be silently debuted in previous iPhone models.
As for training, Weinbach says Apple plans to keep the form factor of the 5.4-inch iPhone 13 mini in its range, despite widespread reports of low sales performance of the iPhone 12 mini. Weinbach previously stated that the new iPhones would include stronger MagSafe, astrophotography capabilities and the ability to make videos in portrait mode.
Earlier this week, images were sent to MacRumors show supposed photos of the front glass panels of the iPhone 13 models, showing the headphones relocated to the top bezel. If true, it would be the most significant change in notch design since its debut on the iPhone X. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says Apple plans to switch to a hole design for some models. of iPhone from 2022.
