“All clear” given to two different Walmart stores after bomb threats, according to police

SAINT ANTHONY – Two Walmart stores have been “all clear” after receiving bomb threats Sunday evening, according to San Antonio police.

Walmart stores located at 1430 Austin Highway and 2100 Southeast Loop 410 received the threats, according to officials. Around 9:45 p.m., police said customers and employees have been allowed to enter the two stores.

Police said the shipment initially received two calls to its non-emergency number, stating that several explosive devices had to be detonated at any given time in both stores.

Officers arrived at both Walmart locations, set up a perimeter and all employees and customers were evacuated.

Dogs sniffing bombs were also deployed at the two stores to aid the investigation.

According to police, no explosive devices were found in any of the stores or any injuries were reported.

A 36-year-old man was admitted after the discussion that led to a shooting on the East Side, according to police
