The Minister of Energy and Mines (MEM), Antonio Almonte, reported that he had concluded the tender for a technical-forensic audit of the construction and operation dand the Thermoelectric Power Station of weather in Punta Catalina.
Almonte said that the winner is a prestigious one American firm that even works as a consultant for the United States Government in terms of electricity and that detailed details on the award would be offered in the coming days.
On the financial tender for Punta Caterina, Almonte stated that for the third time the call is being made in the media national and international because in previous calls there has been no receptivity.
On the radio program El Rumb del MatÃ, the head of the MEM said that he is committed to the financial audit of Punta Catalina so that the population knows, based on studies, the real cost of the energy complex.
The minister clarified that the two times the tender for the financial audit of the Punta Catalina project was launched they had to declare it vacant, then submit one or two signatures without the required conditions. He indicated that any information is sought to be the consequence of an auditable study of what has happened in this thermoelectric plant.
