Amazon Studios has denied claims that Nicole Kidman abandoned production of her new Expats series.
On Sunday, the Hong Kong online news release HK01 claimed that the actress had left production after a disagreement with series director Lulu Wang.
But an Amazon spokesman told Variety that Nicole finished filming as scheduled and did not leave early.

Nicole flew from Sydney to Hong Kong by private jet on August 12 before filming her new Amazon Prime Expats series, and was staying in a rental mansion in the city’s Peak district.

Hong Kong requires international travelers to meet at least seven days of quarantine on arrival, followed by a “self-check”.
However, the Hong Kong government confirmed that it was renouncing these harsh quarantine rules for Kidman.
“She had other projects she’s committed to,” but an Amazon spokeswoman told Variety that Nicole finished filming as scheduled and didn’t leave early.
In a statement to HK01, the Hong Kong Office of Trade and Economic Development said Kidman received a mandatory quarantine exemption “to carry out designated professional tasks”.
As part of her exemption, Nicole was required to be vaccinated against Covid-19, to stay in a “designated residence,” to be tested for the virus regularly, and to be provided with “work-related itineraries.” , according to Dimsumdaily Hong Kong.
