AMD CEO Lisa Su was recently at Jim Cramer and its “Mad Money” Monday segment, just after the company unveiled its next-generation Zen 3 EPYC processors.
During the chat, Su talked not only about the new third-generation EPYC processors, but also about the shortage of chips that now affects everything. CPUs, and especially GPUs, are almost impossible to buy and when they can be bought, prices soar out of control. But hey, everything is good for AMD.
But it was the comments about the shortage of chips directly that Cramer asked the question. “is it good or bad for AMD“in terms of scarcity. Su said”we have a huge demand, the demand is very, very strong“Continuing its record growth in multiple areas, including computers, games and the data center. Lisa added:”to answer your question, okay, very good“.
Lisa said we can “count on” AMD to increase production so that overall supply figures increase and they can better meet demand, with Lisa seeing that incredible demand doesn’t stop this year. The company is busy, but “busy in a good way“.
