the Department of Health has revealed today, Thursday, in its daily monitoring report for VOCID-19, that 18 more people died as a result of viruses, raising the death toll to 2,967.
These are nine men and nine women. The region that has recorded the highest number of deaths was the metropolitan area with seven deaths; four women aged 40, 57, 64 and 84 years and three men aged 55, 66 and 102 years. He is followed by Arecibo with four dead, three women aged 50, 62 and 75 years i two men aged 52 and 63 years. In Fajardo two deaths were reported; a 53-year-old man i a 59-year-old woman. In the same way, in Mayaguez two people died; a 69 year old man i a 96-year-old woman. Meanwhile, in Bayamón and Caguas they died two men aged 62 and 71 years, Respectively.
currently there 412 people hospitalized, Of which 384 are adults and 28 minors.
The report further states that there are 218 positive cases in COVID -19 as a result of molecular tests and 140 probable cases after an antigen test.
At present, two million, 393,000, 071 people have a dose of the vaccine. Another two million, 086,000, 422 people have their dose series completed.
The data in this report cover the period from August 24 to September 7.
