InnerSloth’s Between us it was easily one of the biggest surprises of 2020. Although the game was initially released in 2018, it gained a lot of attention last year, when it became a Twitch hit. Suddenly, the game found the main attraction that had eluded it and the new attention surprised its careless developer. With a new year ahead, InnerSloth is working hard on its efforts to maintain that interest and there seem to be surprises that the company has yet to publicly discuss. In a new interview with GameSpot’s Lucy James, InnerSloth’s Victoria Tran spoke briefly about the prospect of future revelations.
“We have some secrets in the works that unfortunately I can’t talk about,” Tran said.
This doesn’t give much to follow the fans, but the prospect of more content should turn out to be quite exciting. InnerSloth was clearly not prepared to increase interest in the game and as a result has changed quite a few plans.
“It was terrifying, amazing and wonderful and there really isn’t any English word to understand how amazing and amazing it was,” Tran said.
When it comes to success stories in games, it’s hard to make any kind of comparison Between us. While many games have found growing interest long after their initial release, this often happens when it is too late for a developer to take advantage of it. It has not been so Between us, and InnerSloth seems to be in a good position to capitalize. The developer has unveiled several future updates to the game, including a new airship map.
As with any online game, however, maintaining interest may be easier said than done. Players can be notoriously fickle and often move on to the next big thing, despite the efforts of a developer. It remains to be seen if this will be the case Between us, but with InnerSloth working to find new ways to improve the game, it seems likely that its success will continue in the foreseeable future.
