Amparo Figuera Juárez dies, member of “The Jilguerillas”


Amparo Figuera Juárez, member of the duet of ranchera music “The Jilguerillas”, died this Thursday at the age of 84, with no further details on the cause of death.

The death of Amparo Figuera Juárez, composer and singer, was announced on the official Facebook page of “Les Jilguerillas” where, in addition, they highlighted his musical legacy.

“Friends all, with great sadness we inform you that our beloved Amparo Figuera Juárez, is dead”, Says the publication.

The duet “The Jilguerillas” it was formed by the sisters Amparo and Imelda Figuera Juárez, died in 2004; both original ones of the Gorge of Ramirez, Michoacán, that had use from 1955 with great successes like “Chaparrita consentida”, “The bato gacho”, “The boy alegre”, among others. In addition, they had participation in Mexican films and were recognized with several awards.
