Animal Crossing Continues to Dominate UK Retail | Graphics in UK boxes

And Mario Kart 8: Deluxe is number 2. Again.

One more week, another win for Nintendo in the UK boxing charts.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is back at No. 1 for the fourth time this year, despite a 13% drop in sales. Mario Kart 8: Deluxe remains at number 2 for the second week in a row, with a 1% drop in sales.

It was almost one of Nintendo’s top three, but Ring Fit Adventure lost third place with just 52 units. Fitness game sales rose 34% week-over-week, but were unable to finish Call of Duty: Black Ops War Cold, which held despite an 8% drop in sales.

The only significant new game to appear this year (so far) is Hitman 3, and this game already drops to number 17 with a 54% drop in sales during the week.

There was a new game on the charts, and it’s Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Earthbound, at number 36. The game was released by Maximum Games in the UK.

It’s a pretty quiet start to the year for the gaming market, but there’s a major new game coming up next week in the form of Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury for Nintendo Switch. Without a doubt, this game will be the best selling in boxes this time next week.
