Brazilian singer Anitta, a leading South American star in the pop, funk and reggaeton genres, was hospitalized in a hospital in Rio de Janeiro for food poisoning, according to the artist’s public relations office.
“Since yesterday (Tuesday), Anitta has been hospitalized in a hospital in Rio de Janeiro, after feeling unwell at home. The singer went through several tests that indicated the diagnosis of food infection,” said a press release issued by the artist’s press office.
“Anitta is under medical care and receiving medication and hydration. The singer, still without a discharge, will spend tonight hospitalized,” the press release added, without informing which hospital the 27-year-old artist was admitted to. .
