Over the weekend, Noel and Pitch Perfect star Anna Kendrick found her Twitter account taken over by unknown and hostile forces as hackers began posting on it. Shortly before 5:30 p.m., Pacific Time, the actress ’account began posting a series of offensive messages embedded with racial insults with nearly thirty tweets posted over half an hour. Just after 5:45 p.m., however, things seemed to return to normal with the tweets deleted. Now, three days later, the actress has posted her first tweet since the hack, taking it all in stride and revealing what celebrity was able to get her help before anyone else.
“Well, the funniest thing about briefly hacking my Twitter is that people I hadn’t heard from for years got in touch to let me know,” Kendrick wrote. “So I guess thanks to my hacker for a little bit of anxiety and for getting me back in touch with my high school friend James. Recently, Kendrick made headlines for his hit HBO series Max Love life, an anthology series of romantic comedies, which is expected to release new episodes weekly, but due to user demand ended up releasing them in a much faster timeline. Although the show did not receive the best reviews, episodes four, five and six of the series were available on Thursday, June 4, and the remaining four episodes arrived on June 11. According to HBO Max at the time, they decided to release the episodes prematurely due to the positive reaction from fans.
