Another police officer commits suicide over family problems at his home in Santa Anna El Salvador News

Police were stationed at the Texistepeque police station. He committed suicide in his home in Santa Anna. So far this January alone, three police officers have committed suicide by shooting themselves with their team weapons.

A prominent police officer in Texistepeque, identified as César Adonay Sanabria, 52, committed suicide at 9:30 a.m. last Saturday night at his home, police sources said.

Sanabria was outstanding in the police subdelegation of Texistepeque, department of Santa Anna, where it was known like the Magician. The incident took place at the house of the police officer, located in the Bella Vista colony.

With this suicide, there are six cases of police officers who have been killed since November 28. In most cases, according to police sources, the suicides have been preceded by family discussions.

So far this January alone, three police officers have committed suicide by shooting themselves with their team weapons.

One more case is being investigated as alleged suicide. This is that of an officer who was hospitalized for poisoning, after leaving without permission from the police facilities where he was assigned.

Case by case for the last two months

On November 28, José Abraham Morales Lara, attacked in the San Salvador Sud (San Marcos) delegation, was shot with his team weapon after arguing with his partner.

On December 15, Víctor Hugo Alfaro Paula, stationed at Comalapa Airport, shot himself in the head with his team weapon, following an argument over family issues.

On December 28, it was Agent Gustavo Ernesto Mejia Rosales, who, intoxicated, shot himself in the heart. This agent was prominent in the subdelegation of Candelaria de la Frontera, department of Santa Anna.
