Joao Leandro Rodríguez is 24 years old and although he is from Caleño and started playing on Vallecaucan courts, most of his football career has been spent abroad.
Rodriguez returns to Colombian football this time to put on the red of America, a signing that the scarlet fans received with hesitation, waiting for the player to finally burst into football and can contribute to the team.
Joao started at Deportes Quindío and then moved on to the defunct Uniautónoma. But then, being very young, he began a journey through many teams abroad and in very few he was able to consolidate.
At the time it was said that Rodriguez had been acquired by Chelsea and this team lent him to other clubs so that he would have European rubbing.
It was as well as it was in the Bastia of France, in the Setúbal Vitoria of Portugal, to the unknown Koninklijke Sint-Truidense Voetbalvereniging of Belgium, soon returned to Colombia to play in Santa Fe and later in Cortuluá.
After these two experiences he returned abroad to sign for Tampico Madero of the second division of Mexico, from there he moved to Central Córdoba in Argentina, returned to Mexico to join the ranks of the ‘Necaxa and now back to Colombia, where he will play in America.
