Neither Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant or LeBron James made as much money on a contract as he will Giannis Antetokounmpo, the named Most Valuable Player in the NBA in the last two seasons and who broke the record for the most lucrative link in basketball history by prolonging his stay with the Milwaukee Bucks.
After months of speculation because their deal ended in 2022 and is related to multiple organizations, The Greek monster announcement this Monday that signed for the next five years, relieving fans in Milwaukee, who like the rest of the NBA await the start of the season on December 22.
Antetokounmpo’s record contract
The Greek signed for five years and $ 228.2 million, according to reports released by ESPN y Athletic which were later confirmed by the basketball player’s agent, who is still in search of his first title or at least being in his first finals.
One of the clauses of the agreement is that Giannis could choose to be a free agent after the fourth year, by the time he reaches his third decade of life.
