Model Anwar Hadid says he will “absolutely” not get the COVID-19 vaccine, insisting that the human body is capable of “much more than we think”.
An Instagram follower asked the 21-year-old, brother of models Gigi and Bella Hadid, if he would take the vaccine to which he replied, “Absolutely not,” according to TMZ.
During the same question and answer session, another fan asked Anwar, “Why are you anti vax?”
“Either I just don’t get it or I understand it and God wants to heal it and get antibodies instead of doing this process in an unnatural way, the creator makes our bodies do so much more than we think,” he replied.
Anwar was diagnosed in 2012 with Lyme disease, which could put him at high risk of having a bad outcome if he contracted the virus, TMZ reported.
Some fans criticized the model’s explanation for why she would not get the vaccine.
“Homeboy doesn’t get flu shots? What if (God forbid) you get cancer? Won’t you help yourself anyway? ” wrote a user.
