GTA 6 and its noisy surroundings of Vice City have been apparently mocked by Rockstar Games through the new Cayo Perico GTA online update. At the time of publication, Rockstar Games has not announced it Grand Theft Auto VI nor has he confirmed any new ones GTA is in development. However, according to a lot of rumors and reports, GTA 6 is in development for PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and possibly also for PC. And, according to a thick of these rumors and reports, the series will take players to Vice City, the fictional version of the series about Miami. If this is true, it is safe to assume that the series also takes players into the 20th century. So far, Rockstar Games has not commented on these rumors and reports, but it seems to nod its head with a couple of new Easter eggs added to GTA online with the recent update of Cayo Perico Heist.
The first Easter egg includes a free jacket that is given to everyone GTA online players who participated in the 100 Billion Heist Challenge that fell in November. More specifically, for their participation, the players were awarded the Panther Varsity jacket. At first glance, the jacket is nothing special, but behind it there is something remarkable.
The back of the jacket consists of an image of a panther and the phrase “Hostes Ad Pulverem Ferire”. Why is it remarkable? Well, because the same text / saying appears on the front of a government building in the original GTA City of vice. Now, this could be just an insignificant Easter egg, especially considering that there is also the phrase GTA Sant Andreas. That said, it’s not the only new Easter egg that pays homage to the 2002 title.
The new update also added a new side character named Gustavo, who pulls off a white and orange Hawaiian shirt that looks almost identical to a t-shirt González adorns on both. City of vice i Vice City Stories. Could it be a coincidence? For sure. Could it be another Easter egg that can be thrown? For sure. However, combined, callbacks raise a flag. And if we consider that Rockstar Games is famous for provoking their next games with their current games, it is not irrational to think that they are less homage and more mockery.
It’s not the first time Rockstar Games has been teased GTA 6. In November, he brazenly provoked the game. However, this is the first time Rockstar Games has apparently caused the game’s Vice City setup.
At the time of publication, Rockstar Games has not commented on this speculation making the rounds at any level, and it is unlikely to do so, but if it does, we will be sure to update the story with all that is provided.
