Apple iPhone users with iOS 14 affected by Snafs with messaging apps
There are new posts with today Apple Support Communities has been released in the group, and they point to a new issue with news usage. For example, some iPhone 11 series phones do not receive text or audio notifications when it comes to text messages. While some people notice the problem after updating to iOS 14, others say they had this problem before Apple dropped the update. Interestingly, a user disabled the news notification on his Apple Watch and the problem with his iPhone 11 Pro (which runs iOS 14.2) was removed. Another user ended the issue by disconnecting the Apple Watch from his iPhone.

An Apple-backed community member with the handle of JohnnyH24 wrote, “I had similar issues, I simply did not receive audio text and news notifications. The next day I received texts from 4 people in the same short period of time; I do not see audio (now haptic) notifications from families who use Android. IOS texts are a sign that I have almost no chance of delivering audio, and services / politicians have a good chance of showing and interrupting what I’re doing (differently, not Amazon, though). Announcements are more irritating to the target / Walmart / Best bag if I fail to close those apps.
I thought there was a problem with my iPad intercepting messages and text, but iMessage has disabled it for the last month / month and a half. The only change in my Apple universe was that my Apple Watch battery expanded and broke in September, but I already had issues with random announcements appearing only on the iPod. Everything else is the same (ATT and WiFi). As for verifying DNT, I did not receive these notifications for my exemptions – they were allowed to contact me after hours. Sorry. I refuse to go “nuclear” on the phone because there was a corrupt backup when I wiped / reset the iPod in October. “
Problems with using messages, inability to send or receive messages, lack of aforementioned notifications and other issues. Apple will soon release a software update that will eliminate message errors, as many iPhone users take sending and receiving such messages very seriously.
