Apple introduces the 9th generation iPad and the new iPad Mini

Apple has announced the new ninth-generation iPad, with new features and a new iPad Mini with a sleek design. Both tablets also see a significant jump in performance over their predecessors.

Apple’s latest event – “California Dreaming” – kicked off with announcements for the company’s iPad line with powerful performance boosts on both Apple’s standard iPad and the new iPad Mini model .

The popular standard-sized iPad model, now in its ninth generation, features a powerful A13 Bionic chip, which Apple claims has a performance that maintains battery life.

Starting at $ 330 for everyday consumers or $ 300 for schools, the latest iPad offers fast connectivity, smart accessory support, and speeds three times faster than Chromebooks and six times faster than Android tablets. according to Apple.

The new iPad features a 10.2-inch Retina display with True Tone (which allows you to automatically adjust the screen based on ambient light and brightness) and a 12-megapixel Ultra Wide front camera with Center Stage. Center Stage is a feature that was launched with the iPad Pro earlier this year and enhances video calling by automatically panning the camera to keep users in sight and detect others who are joining. It can be used in both vertical and horizontal orientation.

The newly introduced iPad Mini has a slightly higher starting price of $ 500, but features a new A15 Bionic chip, with 80% faster performance compared to the previous generation. Along with the CPU and GPU, the iPad Mini’s new Neural Engine allows for a smoother experience for applications, such as image recognition and language learning through the new Translate app.

The iPad Mini has a full-screen design with an 8.3-inch liquid retina display, a 500-night brightness, an anti-reflective coating, and, like the iPad, has a true hue. Both cameras have been upgraded with a 12-megapixel rear camera with Focus Pixels and a larger f / 1.8 aperture, and an Ultra-Wide front-facing camera with a new 12MP sensor and a larger field of view.

The iPad Mini also includes a new USB-C port, as does the iPad Air, which provides flexibility to users when working with additional devices, such as cameras while in a location session. Apple claims to provide users with ten times the data transfer speed.

In addition, mobile phone models will feature 5G, making the iPad Mini an attractive tablet for users who travel or work regularly outside the office. It also supports a wide range of accessories, such as the second-generation Apple stylus, which is magnetically attached to the side of the iPad Mini for wireless charging and pairing.

Both iPad models have a new location for Touch ID, which is now at the top right of the device, just like on the iPad Air. Both models are also constructed of 100% recycled aluminum on the premises as part of the company’s dedication to reducing environmental impact.

Interested users can order both iPad models today on Apple’s website, with units available starting next week.
