Apple Seeds Sixth Beta from macOS Monterey for developers

Apple today released the sixth beta version of developers of macOS Monterey, the newest version of the macOS operating system. The sixth beta comes three weeks after Apple releases the fifth beta of MacOS Monterey.

Registered developers can download the beta version through the Apple Developer Center, and once the appropriate profile is installed, beta versions will be available through the software update mechanism in System Preferences.

As with all new beta versions, Apple recommends not installing the new macOS update on a main machine, as it is an early release software and may have bugs.

‌MacOS Monterey‌ presents Universal Control, a feature that allows you to use a single mouse, trackpad and keyboard on multiple Mac or iPad devices, in addition to the new AirPlay to Mac feature.

Safari has been redesigned with a new tab bar (with switching for two different designs from the third beta) and tab group compatibility, and FaceTime has gotten spatial audio, a portrait mode on Macs M1, and isolation voice to trim the background noise. There’s also a new aceFaceTime‌ SharePlay feature that lets Apple users watch TV, listen to music, and share their screens with each other.

Shared with you, a standalone feature, keeps track of the music, links, podcasts, news, and photos that are sent to Messages, highlighting them in the appropriate apps. Notes has a new Quick Note feature to jot down thoughts and collaboration is easier with mentions and activity visualization.

The iOS shortcut app is now available on the Mac and Focus helps people stay on task by reducing background distractions. There’s an updated Maps app with a whole host of new features, and with live text, Macs can now detect text in photos or provide details about animals, art, landmarks, plants, and more in images. .
