Apple Watch Series 7, now with a tougher design

At Apple’s September 14 event, the Cupertino company announced a number of devices. And one of its main attractions is the new Apple Watch Series 7 smartwatch.

As for the screen, it covers 20 percent more surface compared to previous Apple Watch. Also, the bezels around it are thinner (measuring just 1.7mm) and the screen mode always on is now 70 percent brighter.

However, this does not mean that the panel is more delicate. In return, according to Apple, has a more resistant glass with IP6X certification. In addition, it has a WR50 water resistance. In this way, it can be used in places full of dirt or with a lot of rain without problems.

The company also optimized the watch’s interface by integrating redesigned virtual buttons to complement the new display and add a comfortable keyboard, which can be typed or swiped. In addition, there is a completely new set of faces for the watch in order to take advantage of the extensive screen.

In terms of battery life, the Apple Watch Series 7 offers 18 hours of battery life and charges 33 percent faster than the Series 6. Similarly, it includes a USB-C charger instead of a USB-A .

On the other hand, the small Apple Watch went from measuring 40mm to 41mm, and the large watch from 44mm to 45mm, which means they are the company’s largest watches to date.

With 8 watches also come a lot of new features, which include some that offer more support for cyclists. With these, the training set on the clock will stop automatically if you stop at a red light or take a break. It can even detect if you suffer a fall and gives options for contacting emergency services.

The Apple Watch Series 7 will start at $ 399, the Watch ES will be available for $ 279 and the Watch Series 3 model will remain at $ 199.
