Apple will launch iOS 15 iCloud Private Relay as a public beta

When iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 are released this fall, iCloud Private Relay will be included, but Apple plans to provide the features as a public beta rather than a completed addition.

iCloud private relay beta
According to Apple’s release notes for the seventh beta of OSiOS 15‌, ‌iCloud‌ Private Relay is being released as a public beta to allow Apple to “collect additional feedback and improve website compatibility” before the official launch of the function.

Thus, when ‌iOS 15‌ and other updates are released, ayiCloud‌ Private Relay will be available to customers, but will officially be available for use in a beta version.

In the latest versions of OSiOS 15‌ and ‌iPadOS 15‌, ayiCloud‌ Private Relay now appears as a feature that is in beta, with Apple providing the following information: “Private Relay is currently in beta. Some websites may have issues , such as showing incorrect content. region or requiring additional steps to log in. “

AyiCloud‌ Private Relay is a service designed to ensure that Safari traffic coming out of an iPhone, iPad, or Mac is encrypted using two Internet broadcasts so that companies cannot use personal information such as IP address, location and browsing activity to create detailed profiles about Apple device users.

Apple’s release notes on the new updates available today also confirm that several issues have been addressed.

  • The Bay Bridge is now properly scaled to high zoom levels in the Maps app.
  • Siri can be used to switch to a different focus than Do Not Disturb.
  • Safari extensions now appear correctly in the smart search field when Show separate tab bar is selected.
  • The Safari search bar delete button is no longer trimmed.
  • VPN applications now connect if they use a private API that no longer exists in ‌iOS 15‌.
  • Folding the hardware keyboard shortcut bar now correctly invokes changes to the initial and subsequent UIKeyboardLayoutGuide paths.

With seven beta versions released, we are nearing the end of the testing period for OSiOS 15‌. We can expect the new software to be released before the updated iPhones, probably in September.
