Apple’s event announcement: “California Streaming” on September 14 With the iPhone 13, Apple Watch Series 7 was expected

Apple announced today that it will hold a special event on Tuesday, Sept. 14 at 10 p.m. The event will take place at the Steve Jobs Theater on the Apple Park campus in Cupertino, California.

As with WWDC and last year’s fall events, this new event will be held digitally without any media member invited to attend in person. Apple will likely provide pre-recorded segments for each newly announced product.

The September event last year focused on the Apple Watch after the iPhone was delayed until October, but this year things have returned to normal. We expect Apple to announce new models of iPhone 13, Apple Watch Series 7 and possibly AirPods 3.

New MacBook Pro models and new iPads are also on the horizon, but Apple is expected to host multiple fall events this year, so we’re not likely to see everything coming out in September.

Apple iPhone 13 models will be similar to iPhone 12 models with few design changes. Apple plans to launch a 5.4-inch iPhone 13 mini, a 6.1-inch PiPhone 13 6.1, a 6.1-inch iPhone 13 Pro and a 6.7-inch iPhone 13 Pro Pro.

The overall design will be the same, but expect a smaller notch. There will also be some improvements to the cameras, as Apple will bring optical image change sensor stabilization to the entire iPhone 13‌ range, introduce a better Ultra Wide camera for Pro models and improve the cameras of the iPhone 13‌ Pro to incorporate it line with the Pro Max.

A faster A15 chip will arrive, along with faster 5G technology, and perhaps the biggest change could be the 120 Hz ProMotion screen expected for Pro models. There have also been rumors about a screen always exposed, so it’s a possibility, as are larger batteries and more storage space. We have details on all the rumors we’ve heard about the iPhone 13 in our summary, so check it out to see exactly what to expect.

As for the Apple Watch Series 7, we look forward to the first redesign we’ve seen in years. The new Apple Watch could have a flat-cut design that better fits ‌iphone‌ models and could be thinner with more display space available.

A new lamination technique will bring the screen closer to the front cover and the carcass sizes are expected to increase to 41 mm and 45 mm, from 40 mm to 44 mm. A faster S7 chip is expected and there could be a bigger battery, but there will be no new health sensors this year.

According to reports, Apple’s manufacturing partners are having production difficulties with the new watch, so at launch we could see some delay in availability or tight supplies.

Third-generation AirPods under construction are expected to have a design closer to the AirPods Pro, and silicone tips are a possibility.

The new irAirPods‌ will have stems more similar to irAirPods‌ Pro, but will remain a more affordable option with no active noise cancellation.

Apple plans to stream the fall event live on its website, YouTube and Apple TV via the “Apple TV” app. Apple has today made live streaming of YouTube available before the date of the event.

For those who can’t see, MacRumors will provide full coverage of events at both MacRumors.com and MacRumorsLive Twitter account.
