The secretary appointed by him Department of Education, Elba Aponte Sants, met with lawmakers, regional office officials and mayors from the south of the country to detail the plan to reopen schools.
In a post on Twitter, the agency shared images of the various meetings it has held.

Yesterday, Governor Pedro Pierluisi Urrutia Urrutia expressed his intention to reopen schools in the country by early March, as well as vaccinate all school staff to prevent further contagion.
