the Stationery Argentina issued a statement in which they make clear their “strong rejection” of new military exercises in the Falkland Islands. The communiqué denounces the participation of soldiers of the Grenadier Guards and the Scottish guards in conjunction with forces of the Royal Artillery (RA) and the Royal Air Force (RAF, by the acronyms in English of Royal Air Force), Which are part of the UK military deployment in the Falkland Islands.

According to the Chancellery, the British military presence “contradicts the resolution 41/11 from UN General Assembly (South Atlantic Peace and Cooperation Zone) which, among other provisions, urges the states of all other regions, especially the militarily important states, to scrupulously respect the South Atlantic region as a peace zone. and cooperation, in particular by reducing and eventually eliminating its military presence in that region. “

The Argentine government stated that these operations constitute “an unjustified show of strength and a deliberate departure from the calls of the numerous resolutions of the United Nations and other international bodies, urging both Argentina and the United Kingdom to resume negotiations, in order to find a peaceful and final solution to the sovereignty dispute involving both countries in the Question of the Falkland Islands”.

The British posture
