Japanese video game developer and publisher Arika has announced that it will launch Fighting EX Layer: Another Dash to the Nintendo Switch in 2021.
The original version of this title was first released on PlayStation 4 in 2018 and has since been ported to several devices. It is considered a spiritual sequel to Layer of struggle (1998) as well as the Street Fighter EX series (1996).
Arika says Another Dash will be “different” from the existing Fighting EX Layer version. The characters have been adjusted, the movements have been revised and new fighting systems have been created. This also includes different network codes.
Here is an explanation, courtesy of Gematsu:
“Fighting EX Layer: Another Dash uses net step interrupt code based on net delay code. Because the input delay is disguised as variable frames for multiple frames, in cases of extreme delays, the character’s position can be corrected. Some time after the release, Arika hopes to replace the clean code with the “Best of Two Games” clean code, which is currently being tested and is based on clean recovery code. “
More information on Fighting EX Layer: Another Dash for Nintendo Switch will be shared on April 1st.
