Last week, Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey signed an executive order to hope to increase the state’s vaccination efforts and offer more vaccines. The problem, however, has been the number of vaccines the state has been able to receive.
To date, according to ADHS, more than 702,000 doses of the vaccine have been administered to more than 579,000 Arizonans, of whom 109,000 have received both doses.

“We know the vaccine is in high demand and we expect the appointments to fill up quickly,” said ADHS director Dr. Cara Christ. “Based on the success of the Farm State Stadium site, we can replicate these sites quickly to add capacity when we get the vaccine. Our only limiting factor is the amount of vaccine we receive from our federal partners. “
TOMORROW: @AZDHS opens 21,000 more registrations # COVID19 vaccination appointments. Arizona acted quickly to ensure that these vaccine doses reached the Arizonans urgently, rather than sitting in the freezer. 1 /
