Ashford Hospital in County administered the first five COVID-19 vaccines to Puerto Rico this morning.
The hospital chose a respiratory therapy, two doctors already a disease as the first people on the island to receive immunization.
Respiratory therapist Yahaira Alicea was one of the health professionals who cared for the first two coronavirus patients in the territory. These were two Italian tourists who arrived on a cruise ship at the Port of San Juan.
