Asia Argento denounces another sexual abuse

The Italian actress and one of the figures of the movement #Me too, Asia Silver, Accused American director Rob Cohen (“Fast and the Furious”) of abusing her in 2012. Argento, 45, was one of the first to denounce these behaviors in the world of cinema and in 2017 accused producer Harvey Weinstein, now in prison, of raping her in 1997 when she was 21 years old.

About Cohen he noted that he drugged her to abuse her. A spokesman for the director categorically denied this accusation and added that by having a friendly relationship, he found it “baffling”. The actress’ new complaint is included in her book “Anatomy of a Wild Heart”, which will launch today in Italy.

“It’s the first time I’ve talked about Cohen”, Argento said in an interview he gave to the newspaper El Corriere della Sera. “He abused me, making me drink GHB, he had a bottle”, Commented in reference to a fast-acting anesthetic used in some rape cases. “At that point I really didn’t know what it was. I woke up in the morning naked in her bed”.

The fact occurred two decades ago in the shooting of the aforementioned action film, starring actor Vin Diesel.
