As of January 26, 2021 the U.S. Government requires a negative viral-type VOCID-19 test for travelers over the age of two, this test must be done three days before the flight. Otherwise, passengers can provide documentation from an authorized healthcare provider about their recovery from VOCID-19 within 90 days prior to the trip. This requirement applies to all passengers flying to the United States over the age of two, including U.S. citizens and legal permanent residents (LPRs). Currently, all passengers traveling to the United States by air, regardless of having been vaccinated or their antibody-generated status, are required to test negative for VOCID-19 or documentation of his recovery. Be sure to get tested viral (NAAT or antigen) to determine if you have an ongoing COVID-19 infection. Also, make sure you receive the results of your test before your flight departs as well as have the documentation of your results to show to the airline. Both PCR and antigen testing are available in a variety of laboratories and locations. The Embassy of the United States has prepared a list of service providers who can administer the COVID-19 test in the Dominican Republic, which can be found on our website:do.usembassy.gov/es/us-citizen-services-es/pruebas-de-covid-19-en-la-republica-dominicana/
All travelers to the U.S. should monitor the official Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website and follow their quarantine recommendations and comply with all state and local requirements and restrictions of their final destination.
