Between One-Punch Man, baseball manand multiple nods to popular fantasy franchises, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla it is basically the Metropolitan Easter Egg Museum. But the best surprise, or at least the one that is sure to delight fans of the series, does not appear until the end of the game.

Once you install Ravensthorpe, about ten hours after the game, you will be able to develop a whole host of new buildings. The creation of the Hidden Ones Office will give Hytham, the young Hidden One, a fantastic new office. As this is a video game, it will reward you with a mission: to locate six pages of the codex, located in various offices of Hidden Ones Burreaus in England. As its name suggests, these offices are out of the way. But finding them is worth it, as doing so will result in an Easter egg starring Bayek de Siwa, the player’s character. Each Hidden Ones Bureau offers a mix of platforms and environmental puzzles. A combustible capacity, such as an incendiary dust trap, can help eliminate any stone barricade, but it is not essential. There is almost always a flammable oil can somewhere nearby and a convenient path that will allow you to take it to the barricade without any problems. (Whether or not you catch fire in the process of blowing up the barricade is another matter.)

In other words, once you find an Office Hidden Ones, you probably have the means to complete it. They are in:
- Ledecestre, in the northeastern part of the city
- Lunden, just outside the east wall
- Colcestre, by the southern walls
- Jorvik, near the theater in the southwest
- The middle of a forest in the middle of the freakin nowhere southwest of Glowecestrescire
- Wincestre, on the west side, directly south of St. Peter’s Church
Once the six pages of the codex have been rounded, go back to Ravensthrope and talk to Hytham. He will offer a perfect thank you (sincerely offensive for a task that can last the entire duration of an extensive role-playing game) and mention that Reda, the black market market provider, has an old script. This is where things become real.

Oh yeah, and you get sweet, sleek armor (the set aptly called Hidden Waves) to remove all Hidden Waves Offices. With two pieces fitted, you will get an increase in damage from murder, as long as you stay on deck for 10 seconds or more. Equip all five pieces and you will clear the damage caused by a blow to the head. The gear is aligned with the Raven skill tree, so you’ll see even more statistical bonuses if you’ve invested heavily in these nodes. There’s also a dagger – the Suttungr’s Urra lined up with the wolf – that increases your critical damage with each hit.
It’s a good team, but the Easter egg is the real prize. Seconds our highly scientific methodology, Assassin’s Creed Origins is the best Assassin’s Creed game. Personally speaking, it’s my favorite game in the series: a reinvention of what Assassin’s Creed it might not shy away from the basics, all wrapped up in an emotional mess of a narrative starring some of the strongest characters since Ezio’s three-game getaway. Hearing Bayek’s voice was instantly transporting. Who knew the Library of Alexandria was a stone’s throw from the cobbled streets of old Londinium?
