Authorities said they arrested a tourist on Wednesday for refusing to wear a mask and assaulting an employee at Luis Muñoz Marin Airport in Carolina.
Plaintiff Xavier Vélez stated that a man on a flight from Boston, identified as Willie Watson, 24, did not follow his instructions regarding the use of the mask and then assaulted him with his hand. right in the face and in the chest, being put under arrest by agents assigned to the Precinct of the Airport.
According to preliminary information, the incident occurred in the afternoon in the arrivals area of terminal A of the airport.
The case was consulted with prosecutor Sonia Polanco, who instructed to file for Article 108 CP (Aggression). The evidence was presented before Judge Wilfredo Viera of the Carolina Court, who determined cause and set a bail of $ 50 thousand, which has not been lent at the time.
