September 7 (Reuters) – AstraZeneca Plc CEO Pascal Soriot said no dose of booster COVID vaccine for everyone in Britain may be needed and rush to a Nationwide deployment of third doses runs the risk of stacking additional pressure on the National Health Service (NHS), the Telegraph reported on Tuesday.
“We need the weight of the clinical evidence gathered from the actual use before we can make an informed decision about a third dose,” Soriot wrote in the newspaper.
He further said that “mobilizing the NHS for an unnecessary reinforcement program would add an unnecessary burden to the NHS during the long winter months”.
